BOTANICAL ART/ CERAMICS/ ILLUSTRATION
Following a course in horticultural design, I was self-taught as a botanical artist, and went on to teach botanical art at RHS Rosemoor and other adult education venues, as well as writing for online microscopy magazine Micscape. I wrote the book "Drawing and Painting Plants" for publishers A & C Black in 2006, and previously won 2 RHS Gold Medals for botanical painting. My natural history and microscopic illustrations are in RHS collections and have been requested for use by international scientific institutions. I provided illustrations for the Honda Spring/ Summer advertising campaign of 2011.
As a horticultural designer, I illustrated both my own designs and those of other landscape gardeners, with AutoCAD and fine hand-drawn plans, as well as winning a Gold Medal at the National Amateur Gardening Show for an interior garden design.
I produced digitally printed transfer patterns for
ceramics, and designs for embroidery, music promotion
and book covers.
More of my natural history illustrations, as well as my more
general illustration work, can be viewed at
